Mission Statement:  The mission of Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School is to nurture young women in leadership roles in a global society, through a community dedicated to rigorous educational and cultural experiences.To ensure that students graduate from college, we will prepare young women to succeed in all fields, particularly: math, science, technology, leadership, and wellness.

Major Awards & Honors: TEA exemplary school; Principal of the Year nominee: Vivian Taylor Samudio; Teacher of the Year: Natalie Buxkemper; Teacher Assistant of the Year: Claudia Ortega. Kimberly Ferguson received the 2008 STEM award by TI (Texas Instruments) 2008 STEM award recipient! Won first place in  the Dallas ISD Middle School One-Act Play Competition for the past two years;Received grant from the Dallas Museum of Art for the 6th grade Talented and Gifted class for 2008/2009.
